Dr. Martie de Wet, a registered dietitian, is passionate about helping her clients achieve optimal health and well-being through an individualized and sustainable approach to eating and lifestyle habits. With almost 30 years of experience in the field of nutrition and as a mother of three daughters managing a busy family life, she understands both the importance of eating well and the real-life challenges that come with it.

In addition to her successful private practice, Dr. Martie thrives on consultancy work and is also a lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, where she shares her expertise in Applied Nutrition with future healthcare professionals. She is part of a multidisciplinary team conducting executive medicals at the Life Extension Institute and has a strong interest in nutrigenomics, exploring how genes, nutrition, and the environment interact. Over the years, she has consulted for various companies, contributed to media publications, and shared her expertise through radio and TV appearances. As a co-author of Fat Loss for Life and through her international nutrition consultations, she has helped clients navigate their health journeys with practical, science-based guidance. Her collaborations extend to research and academic institutions, as well as industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and animal science, and she recently gained valuable experience in research and development, focusing on innovation and technical readiness.

Martie graduated from UFS with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Dietetics, followed by a Doctor Technologiae in Biomedical Technology. She has also completed training in nutrigenomics and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
